PORK

Forget the myth that pork is one of the hardest meats to cook - if you take time and care and find the right recipes, you will have some delicious meals at your fingertips. We are proud to supply 'Harmony' pork products to our customers.  Harmony is the only SPCA accredited 'Freerange' pork company in NZ, and this comes out in the quality of all their products.  A happy pig is a tasty pig!  Go to the Pork section in the butchery section to purchase these fine products.

Loins, racks and chops: With lean and delicious meat inside surrounded by a layer of juicy fat, the rolled loin is the perfect cut for a pork roast. Cooking the loin on a high heat for the first 20 minutes will turn the skin into the delicious crackling that roast lovers dream of. Racks with the bone in can also be cooked as a roast or portioned into chops and cooked on the barbie. We recommend marinating with one of the tasty marinades available from our site or in store. Try honey, soy sauce, chilli or pomegranate and molasses. A real treat!

Cutlets: Cut from the middle of the loin and trimmed of all visible fat, pork cutlets are a lean and healthy option for those of us watching the belt holes. Delicious and nutritious goodness, pork cutlets are another great option for barbequeing and marinating. Don't forget how lean these cutlets are, so always brush them with oil before cooking.

Belly:With alternating layers of fat and meat, pork belly is one of the most delicious and decadent of pork cuts. Once regarded as a cheaper, lower quality cut, pork belly is now a favourite on the menu of the country's top restaurants.
